Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2024

I'll be performing two solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe this year.

THE SIGNALMAN is based on the famous ghost story by Charles Dickens, here reimagined as a solo show. The audience is invited to the scene of a lonely railway line, where a mysterious figure has been seen, standing by the tunnel mouth...

JAMES WHALE: BEYOND FRANKENSTEIN is a brand new show about film director James Whale, who grew up in a working-class family in Dudley, UK, and went to Hollywood in the 1930s to make films such as Frankenstein, The Bride of Frankenstein and The Invisible Man. The show shines a spotlight on this under-appreciated film hero, and it's also a homage to the myriad of people who come together to make movies.

Dates: 2nd-25th August (except 12th & 19th)

Times: 14:55 (The Signalman),
18:45 (James Whale: Beyond Frankenstein)

Venue: ZOO Southside Studio

About me

I'm an actor based in Margate, UK, with easy travel links to London. I've appeared in a wide range of stage and screen roles and have a home studio for voiceover. Before turning to acting, I trained as a broadcast journalist and worked at the BBC for many years.

Upcoming Projects

I'll be performing two solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2024, The Signalman and James Whale: Beyond Frankenstein.

The Mystery of Mr E is my latest feature film, and is available now to rent or buy on Amazon. It's directed by Martyn Tott and written by renowned crime author Sophie Hannah, writer of the recent Poirot novels. I have also recently appeared in a number of short films.

Locked Down - Monologues

During the pandemic, a group of creatives came together to chat, practise, and inspire one another. We wrote short pieces based on different themes, often prompted by the "new normal" situation we found ourselves in.

What resulted was this anthology of work - with stories and styles as varied as their writers. I'm really proud to have been involved.

I hope you have a chance to pick up a copy. Read, enjoy, write a review if you like. Maybe have a go at performing one yourself. I'd love to know what you think!
